It doesn't seem to be a problem with the Rosetta Stone CDs because my wife installed the RS on her MacBook Pro with no problem. So far I really don't like Windows 8. For my part I was happy with XP! In summary: you need lots of content, it has to be fun otherwise you’ll quit, and Rosetta Stone doesn’t give you these (plus it’s expensive). If you really want a very structured approach to starting a language, I recommend Assimil, because it mostly solves the 5 problems I listed above.

I have windows vista and I've never had problems like this before. I spoke with at least 7 different Rosetta Stone Agents and they did not figure out the problem.
