The equipment comprises a press capable of delivering in excess of 12,000 lb. force; a calibrated test gauge of 0-6,000 psi; a crush cell with piston of two inch diameter.
The apparatus includes a base member, having a crushing bowl therewith adapted to receive a medication cup containing the medication to be crushed, and a crushing arm having a crushing head therewith which is adapted to move into the crushing bowl and crush the medication when the crusher arm is pivotally moved with respect to the base member.
